Modified-live vaccine (MLV)
RESPIVax 5 + PH-M is a vaccine to protect cattle against viral bacterial challenges associated with Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD).
A combination respiratory vaccine that provides protection from the 5 primary viral pathogens (IBR, BVD Type 1a and Type 2, BRSV, and PI3) and the key bacterial pathogens (Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida) in a bacterin-toxoid as the diluent.
This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle five months of age or older against Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis, Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus Type 1a, Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus Type 2, Parainfluenza 3 Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida. Duration of immunity for this product has not been determined. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data see productdata.aphis.usda.gov. A second dose of Pulmo-Guard® PH-M is to be given 14 to 28 days after the first dose.
Store at 2°C (35.6°F) to 8°C (46.4°F).

Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried modified live vaccine with the accompanying bottle of sterile diluent, shake well and administer 2 ml subcutaneously in the side of the neck.
Do not vaccinate pregnant cows. Do not use in calves nursing pregnant cows. Abortions may result. Store at 2 degree to 8 degree Celcius. Use entire contents when first opened. Inactivate unused contents before disposal. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter. In case of anaphylactoid reaction treat symptomatically. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on this label. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. This product contains Neomycin, Nystatin, and Thimerosal as preservatives.
