AVERT® NE is the first live vaccine that can be mass administered for the control of NE to be licensed in the US. An innovative new vaccine to help control necrotic enteritis (NE) due to Clostridium perfringens Type A. AVERT® NE utilizes proprietary and unique recombinant attenuated Salmonella vaccine (RASV) technology from Curtiss Healthcare, Inc. as the delivery platform to elicit an immune response to protect chickens from necrotic enteritis (NE).
The only mass-administered vaccine available for controlling NE in chickens that has been demonstrated to meet USDA standards for purity, efficacy, potency, and safety.
The only vaccine for NE that stimulates an immune response against a-toxin & NetB toxin of C. perfringens.
Efficient application system with adaptable spray cabinets
AVERT® NE has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens day of age or older against necrotic enteritis due to Clostridium perfringens Type A. Effectiveness of the vaccine against Salmonella has not been determined. The duration of immunity has not been determined. Administration of a single dose: Administer by coarse spray at day of age. Administration of two doses: Administer by coarse spray at day of age and by drinking water at eleven days of age.
For spray administration at day of age, dilute each vial in water without the required number of chickens according to the directions of the spray cabinet or spray manufacturer. For drinking water administration at 11 days of age, dilute each vial in water without antibiotics, disinfectants or sanitizer. Remove disinfectant, sanitizer and antimicrobials from the drinking water 24 hours before and 24 hours after vaccination. Use approximately 50 liters of water for every 5000 chickens. Withhold water for 1 hour before vaccination. Water containing vaccine should be consumed in 2 hours or less.
